Fire Risk Assessment
The regulatory reform order became law in October 2006 and this had major implications for how fire safety is controlled in premises by both occupiers and the Fire Authorities. Each premise must have a "suitable and sufficient" fire risk assessment completed by a competent person. Where the premises have five or more employees, then a record must be made of the significant findings. Regulatory Reform Order 2005 ![]() ABC Fire Protection can conduct a full fire risk assessment of your premises, by assessors who are members of the Institute of Fire Prevention Officers, associates of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management and experienced ex fire service officers, to PAS79:2007 (Fire Risk Assessment. Guidance and a Recommended Methodology) standard. Should you book a fire risk assessment, the following areas of your building are inspected;
A full report is prepared identifying any areas of concern. This is followed up by the production of an Action Plan, giving recommendations for improvement and prioritising the work required. Other documents that can be provided, where necessary, include;
